Spot's resizable audio waveform window is a powerful timing aid that helps you accurately position your subtitles at the start of speech.
The previous, current and next subtitles can also be displayed on the waveform. You can change the timing of the current subtitle by dragging the mouse left or right. Holding down the shift key while dragging will lock the subtitles and prevent the current cues overriding the previous/next subtitle’s cues. Click anywhere within the window to jump to the corresponding position in the video. Hold shift and click with the left or right mouse button to set a new in or out cue for the current subtitle. If you've used SpotCut to detect shot
cuts in your video file, these can also be shown on the waveform.
